Daphne - Original Batik Painting.
Such an unusual flower that brightens a November day and fills the air with its delicate scent.
Batik is a complicated ancient technique that originated in the Far East. A picture is drawn freehand onto the stretched fabric and then dyes and wax resist are applied to, in this case pure cotton, until the design is completed. The wax is then removed revealing the painting.
The original piece of fine cotton has been window mounted in off white mountboard, signed by the artist and is ready to frame.
Published dimensions include the mount.
